Ready for summer!

Once again, during my Christmas shopping I bought some stuff for myself. I was looking for a dress for New Year's Eve and ended up buying this beautiful lace dress for summer! The sale starts next week here in Belgium but I couldn't wait, I wanted this dress now, plus I don't think it will be on sale (that's just an excuse so that I could buy it now). Just looking at it reminds me of how much I miss summer, the sun and the beach. I can't wait to travel to the South of France next year with my friends.

What I got for Christmas

Christmas was so much fun this year. Everyone was so happy and in a festive mood. What I like most about Christmas is giving presents to my friends and family. 

This year, like almost every year, I asked for a new camera because my old Canon was broken. I have been looking online for the perfect camera for weeks. I've read so much about them and went to the store to try them out (which was not always possible). It finally came down to either the Canon S110 or the Sony HX20V.

I'm a Canon person. All my cameras are Canon and I never even look at the other brands. But this year I wanted to try something new. I was thinking about maybe getting the Nikon 1 J2 because I saw it in dark red... Yeah I'm also the type of person who buys stuff because they have pretty colours :) But then I read some bad reviews about the Nikon so I went back to the Canon or the Sony.

I finally made up my mind and got the Sony HX20V and ... it's BROWN and has leather!

I'm not going to get into the technical details otherwise this post will be forever long but look how beautiful it is... and did I mention it was brown and amazing?! I'm absolutely in love with it and very happy with my choice. The long hours of search were definitely worth it. It has a cute and funny option called "Smile". The camera detects when you're smiling and automatically takes a picture when you're smiling.

I feel like this Christmas' theme was "Cameras" because I didn't get one but TWO cameras (plus a necklace with a camera and a camera keychain)! This second camera is so cool, probably my favorite present this year! It's a Usb key/Camera!!! Equipped with a 2M pixel fine glass lens, 1280x1024 picture resolution and up to 16GB microSD capacity, you can take pictures AND make short videos! It's so tiny and so amazing.

I'm crazy about it. It's doesn't make any noise when you take a picture so it's the perfect Spy camera! Plus you can also use it as a Usb Key and not tell people it's a camera. I think it's pretty sweet and would definitely recommend this to everyone who loves small gadgets like these. My mother got it for me on Fab and there are different colours : pink, black, green and blue.

Baobab candles

I really like to shop in Uccle. There are so many cute shops that I adore! The other day, when I walked in one of them, I fell in the love with the smell! They had many, many beautiful scented candles. Some were small and some were huge! They were all Baobab candles. 

Baobab is the name of an african tree. I read that the Indigenous Australians used Baobabs as a source of water and food and also used the leaves for medicine studies. They also painted and carved the outside of the fruits and wore them as ornaments.

The Baobab candles are high-quality handmade perfumed candles which are produced in Belgium since 2004. These are my 4 favourites and they're from the Mountains collection! They're pricy (from 99€ to 590€) but so so beautiful!

I went Christmas shopping these past couple of days. I love finding fun and cute presents for my friends and family and I try not to look for anything for myself... but I can't. I'm weak, I'm sorry!

I love everything denim and I already own 4 or 5 denim shirts but I couldn't resist and had to get this beautiful shirt from Pull and Bear. It's really cold outside so I should be buying knits instead but I imagined myself wearing this with white shorts this summer so I bought it!

I think I spend at least 30 minutes every day of the week on Asos! I always want to buy everything but I'm so lazy when it comes to online shopping. I like to try on clothes before I buy. I've been disappointed so many times before and I can't be bothered to send the stuff back. I find that buying jewellery online is less risky. Even though my first purchase on Asos was jewellery and I was not happy with what I got!! I've kept the jewellery though but I've never used it... and it's been two years now.
Anyway, I own a Michael Kors watch in silver and I wanted the same in gold but didn't have the money for it so I found this watch on Asos which reminded me of my MK watch. It arrived pretty fast, which I was happy about, and I actually really like the watch! I wore it last night for the first time and after a couple of hours my wrist started to itch... I scratched myself all night. I think I'm allergic to my new watch!! I have a rash on my wrist and I'm sure it's from the watch. It sucks but I'm going to keep the watch and hope I can still wear it without scratching myself all day!

H&M Spring 2013

I know everybody is talking about the Maison Martin Margiela and H&M collaboration for the moment because it's coming out next week but this sneak peek of the spring 2013 collection just got me very excited for spring!

It reminds me a little of Isabel Marant's "étoile" style mixed with some boho pieces. I know a lot of people are getting tired of all the Isabel Marant style that is everywhere but I personally like it, so this H&M collection is perfect for me unlike the current collection from the Lana Del Rey campaign which isn't really my thing.

I'm already in love with the white jeans and top with the golden (it looks gold) ornament. I usually don't wear skirts but I'm in love with the black leather skirt and this one, with the silver studs, is also definitely on my wishlist :

I don't want to wait for spring, I wish I could have these now already in my wardrobe. 

Bringing colors to my life

I finally got an eye shadow palette. I've always wanted one because I find them so beautiful.

Look at these colors, they're gorgeous ! I bought this palette a week ago and every time I look at it I still think to myself "Wow"! To be honest, I don't really wear that much eye shadow but I'm going to try to use it whenever I go out.

I probably won't use all the colors, I'm not a fan of green, blue, purple and bright pink make up, I like to keep it simple and usually play with the browns and the blacks. This palette is from ELF and it wasn't expensive (12€!!) so I recommend it if you're on a tight budget or like me you want to try new things. When I saw the price I thought "this probably sucks" but I was happily surprised. I use my M.A.C paint pot before applying the eye shadow and the result is perfect!

I'll probably use this for my Halloween make-up. I'm going to a Disco/Funky party, this might actually be the perfect time to try funky colors!

Christian Tortu Candles

I'm not really into candles like some girls are and scented candles make me sick. 

But then I discovered these by Christian Tortu. 

My brother bought me two candles for my birthday and I love them! The candle itself is chic and adorable, great for home decoration, and the smell is amazing! One of them is called "Forest" and the other is "Grapefruit and Rhubarb". I love lighting candles during winter because they make every room seem more cosy.

It's almost Christmas (well sort of) and these candles would be a great gift for your friends or family. I highly recommend them (especially if you have smelly animals or you're planning to bring your date home - Oh yeah, candles are romantic).
